Neil Beeson - Director

Neil qualified as a driving instructor in April 1990 at the age of 23 years.  He then set up his own driving school to deliver L-test driving tuition.  Since this time he has been involved with driver training in many forms including working with Renault UK Motability, accompanying disabled drivers at Motability Roadshows around the UK.

In 2000 Neil became a contracted driving instructor with Kirklees Metropolitan Council (KMC) to deliver their National Driver Improvement Scheme (NDIS).  During his time at KMC Neil progressed to classroom delivery of NDIS, Speed Awareness and Environmental courses.  Ultimately, Neil achieved the position of Course Monitor, responsible for the quality control of both classroom and in-car delivery of KMC driving courses.

Neil also delivered training on behalf of PTT (a training consultancy).  This involved classroom delivery and in-vehicle assessments (Goods Vehicles up to 10 Tonnes).

In 2006 Neil wound down his driving school and KMC involvement to join a2om as a Senior Educator.  During this time he assisted in: delivery of the BETA pilot in various parts of the UK; the development of CD Drives; the development of the a2om curriculum; the recruiting, training and managing of a2om Tutors in a given area.  He was also responsible for overseeing quality and instructional standards.  He assisted in the development and delivery of the a2om tutor training course at Cranfield University.  During this time Neil also delivered skid avoidance training at Driving Camp in Vienna, Austria.  Neil appeared on ITV's "Last Chance Driving School" as the lead instructor in 2007.  In 2008 Neil was promoted to Director and was responsible for the recruitment, training and monitoring of all a2om tutors.  He was also involved with the development and role out of a2om’s BTEC in Driving Science.

In 2009 Neil left a2om to co-found eDriving Solutions.  Neil is responsible for e-learning development.

Neil is a grade 6 instructor and is also on the DSA’s Fleet register as well as holding the RoSPA Gold Award.  He holds a City and Guilds 7307 Certificate in Teaching Adult Learners and has an ATLAS Loader Crane Operators Licence.  Neil also attended Cranfield University's course on Managing Human Factors in Driving.

Neil is a keen motorcyclist and golfer.
